The newser posted at the end of May 2018 that the 8,000 U.S. Starbucks locations would be closing that Tuesday in order to train and educate their several hundred thousand workers about racial biasing. This sudden shutting of the stores came about when two African American men, Donte Robinson and Rashon Nelson, were arrested at a Starbucks in Philadelphia while waiting on a business meeting. They were approached by a Starbucks worker who asked if they needed help and told them they couldn't use the restroom because it was only for paying customers. Donte and his business partner informed the worker that they were in no need of help, and were just waiting for a business meeting. That is when the two young men saw police approaching and knew they were here for them. They were arrested for so-called "trespassing" and were later released.
