Ciao! I'm back from Italy and decided to make a blog post of everything I did. To start things off my mom and I took a 9 hour flight to Rome, when we landed we were greeted by my grandpa and we drove to Frosinone and had lunch with some of our family. From lunch we went straight to Vasanello, which is our main residence for the trip. My grandpa rents out a villa called La Torraccia which has 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms and we stay here with the main square of town just up the road. Day 2 we met up with our family friends who live in Vasanello and explored the town for the day, then later went to their home for dinner. Day 3, my grandpa's best friend took us to 3 very tiny towns about an hour or so outside of Vasanello, where we saw many beautiful churches and walked around until we decided to eat lunch overlooking a gorgeous and peaceful lake. We ended up taking pizza back to the villa on night 3 because we were so tired from the rest of the day, and had an early morning following. Day 4, we dropped my grandpa off at the airport to go home and my mom and I took a 4 hour train to Cinque Terre and stayed in a bed and breakfast there for 2 nights. We arrived in Cinque Terre around 3 and went to the 2 furthest islands, Monterosso al Mare and Vernazza. The next morning, like every other morning there we woke up and got a cappuccino and croissant to start the day. We went to Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore and explored all around these towns. Unfortunately we came when it is beginning to get cold so many businesses and restaurants along the entire coast begin to close down, so not a lot was open but it was still beautiful. My mom and I got dinner in the town we were staying in, La Spezia, the train hub to all the islands of Cinque Terre, and we met a couple from California on their honeymoon. The next morning, Day 6, we got on the train to take us back to Rome, where we stayed for our last night. We got to Rome around 2 in the afternoon and walked all the streets till about 11 that night, our friend from Vasanello drove over to Rome to eat dinner with us one last time, then the next morning we were on our way home.
