Facebook- I think my generations main source of news is anything social media related. I know personally my main news source is Facebook, I go on it everyday and I'm able to see things happening in my hometown and occasionally nationwide. Some of this is because I happen to follow news stations on my Facebook(Wink, Fox, NBC), but sometimes you just receive news by reading what your fellow peers post.
60 Minutes- You'll come to find that with 60 Minutes and my other sources of news that I list is that most of the time I watched these channels was because my parents had it on. Now that I'm on my own college I've found myself not nearly educating my mind and paying attention what's happening in the world around near as much. My dad would always put 60 Minutes on at night to watch a particular segment he found to be interesting for the night, and then he'd put on whatever show we both would come to agree with.
FOX- Both of my parents would watch FOX on occasion, this wasn't either of their favorite channels but I'd see it playing in my living room every once in a while. The problem with the FOX and NBC(which is my next listing) is that they're so one sided that both of my parents, and myself would need a change.
NBC2- My mom would watch this channel every morning while I was getting ready for school. She loved the Morning Show, and I grew to like it as well. Now, this isn't necessarily ground breaking news on this show, but it is entertaining and it's more one would say "hip" news. It's not the type of news show where we hear "oh this person shot and killed this person", it's more uplifting and entertaining.
Snapchat- Snapchat has the subscriber page which consists of ESPN, CBC, Buzzfeed and other news sources. This is surprisingly convenient to just flip through if you're to busy to really sit down and read an article, or if you're just bored.
