Hurricane Florence

ree

Being from FL I thought I had escaped hurricanes coming up to NC for school, but I suppose I was wrong. I wasn't initially concerned about Florence, nor did I question leaving High Point because I was so accustomed to hearing that some massive cat 5 hurricane coming would be coming towards us but by the time it hit it'd be a cat 2 or tropical storm. I am glad I decided to stay and hold the storm out because the High Point region just got some rain and winds, nothing too serious. Unfortunately not all of NC was as lucky, several people lost their homes, their place of work, schools, cars, and even their lives. The death toll has risen to 36 people, insured losses are ranging from 2.8 billion to 5 billion dollars, around 55,000 homes and businesses remain without power. The damage many suffered is extreme, and the rebuilding process starts now, if you or someone you knows would like to join in helping in this process then click the link below for some options on how to do so. Any little donation or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
